Emma - English Tutor is designed with privacy in mind. We collect only the data needed for account sign-in. Your learning activity and AI provider connection details stay on your device.
Important: Learning Data Stays on Your Device
If you switch to a new device or reinstall the app, your learning data cannot be transferred and will be reset. Conversation history, progress, evaluations, saved words, preferences, and all other learning records exist only on the device where they were created. Emma - English Tutor does not keep copies on our servers.
Information We Collect
We collect only the information required for authentication and account management. This may include your email address and a secure account identifier. We do not collect, upload, or store your learning data on our servers.
Data Stored on Your Device
All learning-related information is stored locally on your device. Your AI provider connection details are also kept securely on your device. Emma - English Tutor does not have access to this on-device data unless you choose to share it by using AI features.
AI Providers
Your AI provider connection never leaves your device. When you use AI features, the conversation content required for that request may be sent directly to the provider you selected, under that provider's privacy policy and terms.
Google Sign-In and Gemini
When you choose to connect Google Gemini in Emma - English Tutor, you may sign in with your Google account. We use Google Sign-In only to authenticate your connection to Gemini features you request. We may receive basic profile information such as your name and email address from Google for account identification. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell Google user data to third parties. OAuth tokens and Gemini connection details needed to use Gemini are stored securely on your device. We do not store your Google password. You can disconnect Google Gemini at any time in the app settings. For more information about how Google handles your data, see Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Sign In
Secure sign-in is used only to verify your account when you log in. No learning data is stored as part of your account on our servers.
Subscriptions
Subscriptions are purchased through the App Store. Your subscription status is verified through Apple's purchase systems. Emma - English Tutor does not receive or store your full payment card information.
Data Deletion
To request deletion of your authentication account information, contact us at pamukapp@hotmail.com. Learning data stored on your device is removed when you delete the app from that device.
